Founding Customer Offer — for a limited time

Our first customers are taking a chance on a new business. For a limited time: free pickup and return (or a free house call), nothing to pay when you book, and a 90-day warranty on our labor — instead of our standard 10 days. No code, no minimum — it's applied automatically.

Warranty covers our labor and the service performed. If the problem we fixed comes back inside the window, we return and redo it free. Parts are billed at our exact cost as always — see the FAQ below for the full terms.

Service Flat Rate
Diagnostic
The first step of any repair — credited in full toward your repair when you move forward
What we check
$35
A full inspection before we quote anything
  1. Symptom interview and reproduction of the fault — we see it happen before we theorize
  2. Boot and POST behavior, including any error codes
  3. SMART disk health pull — the early warning for a failing drive
  4. Storage capacity and free space check
  5. Startup and background process audit
  6. Malware and adware scan
  7. Windows Update and driver status
  8. Physical inspection — dust, swollen capacitors, loose connections
  9. Written findings and a firm quote before anything is touched
You never pay twice. Book the repair and the $35 comes straight off the bill — so on a tune-up you'd pay $75 plus tax, not $110 plus tax. The credit comes off the repair itself — a tune-up, virus removal, Windows reinstall, data recovery, router setup or hourly work — not off an install or a network diagnosis added to the same visit, which are charged as their own lines. Decide not to go ahead and you still leave with the written findings, yours to take anywhere. Where the symptoms call for it we go further than the nine — a memory test, thermals under load, a Windows event log review — at no extra charge.
Virus / Malware Removal
Full scan, removal, and browser cleanup
What's included
$75
Removal, then the cleanup most shops skip
  • Full system scan, then an offline scan before Windows loads — some infections hide from a scanner running inside the system they have already compromised
  • Removal of active infections, plus the startup entries and scheduled tasks that bring them back
  • Browser cleanup — malicious extensions removed, hijacked homepage and search settings reset
  • Host file and proxy settings checked for redirects
  • Windows Update and Defender brought current so the same hole isn't left open
  • A plain-English explanation of how it got in, so it doesn't happen again
If the infection turns out to be deep enough that a clean install is the honest answer, we'll tell you that instead of charging you for a removal that won't hold.
Full PC Tune-Up & Cleanup
An 11-point inspection — not a disk cleanup with a fresh name
See all 11 points
$75
Every tune-up covers all eleven, every time
  1. Startup optimization — disable unnecessary startup programs
  2. Temp file & cache clearing — Windows temp files, browser cache, Recycle Bin, old update files
  3. Bloatware removal — unused programs cleared, always with your approval first
  4. Malware & adware scan — a check pass, separate from our full removal service
  5. Windows Update — checked, and pending updates installed
  6. Driver check — outdated GPU, chipset and network drivers flagged
  7. Browser cleanup — unwanted extensions removed, hijacked homepage and search reset
  8. Resource audit — we find what's eating CPU and RAM while the machine sits idle
  9. Disk health check — SMART status pulled, so a dying drive is caught early
  10. Storage-specific care — TRIM verification on SSDs, defrag only on spinning drives
  11. Before and after boot time — measured and shown to you, so the result isn't a matter of opinion
Point 10 is where a lot of “tune-ups” quietly do damage: defragmenting an SSD wears it out and does nothing for speed. We check what kind of drive you have first.
Windows Reinstall / Clean Install
Fresh OS, drivers, and updates — your files copied and verified first
What's included
$85
Your data comes first, before anything gets wiped
  • Full data copy taken first — and opened to confirm it's readable before we format anything
  • Clean install of Windows, not a factory image full of manufacturer bloatware
  • All drivers installed and verified — network, GPU, chipset, audio
  • Windows Update run to current before we hand it back
  • Your files restored to where you expect them, not dumped in one folder
  • Browsers, and the everyday programs you name, reinstalled
Copying your data first is free, on every job, always — it isn't an add-on and it isn't a limited-time offer. Elsewhere in San Antonio it's a $35 extra. We don't think charging you not to lose your photos is a real service. That working copy stays with us only while the job is open, is deleted afterwards with the date logged, and is kept encrypted the whole time — it's our safety net for the repair, not a backup of record, and not a substitute for your own.

This is a good one to let us take with us. A reinstall is mostly a progress bar, and there's no reason for you to sit next to it for two hours — we'll collect it, do it at the bench, and bring it back. Same price either way.

RAM, SSD or Hard Drive Install
Installation labor, added to a tune-up, reinstall or diagnostic — moving your system onto a new drive included, part billed at exact cost
What's included
$35
Six checks on every upgrade
  • Compatibility confirmed before anything is ordered — the exact part number checked against your machine
  • Anti-static precautions throughout
  • Part installed, seated, and confirmed in BIOS at its correct speed — a stick that runs at half its rated speed isn't installed, it's just present
  • New boot drive? Your old one is cloned across — Windows, programs and files, included in the $35. Adding a second drive for storage instead? It's set up and ready to use
  • Boot verified and drivers brought current
  • Receipt shown — the part is billed at exactly what it cost us
Why this one is added to another service rather than booked on its own. A 40-minute upgrade carries the same driving and setup as a two-hour job, so on its own it costs more to deliver than it's worth — and we'd rather bundle it honestly than quietly charge you $60 for it. In practice it's how the job turns up anyway: a slow machine gets a diagnostic or a tune-up, and the answer is an SSD. Already know exactly what you need? Book it with a diagnostic — $35 diagnostic plus $35 installation, $70 for the visit plus tax, with the part at exactly what it costs.
Data Recovery & Transfer
Three priced tiers — you're told which one applies, and what it costs, before we start
See the tiers
$90–$250
Three tiers, so there's no open-ended quote
  • Tier 1 — Transfer · $90. Your drive is healthy and the data just needs moving across. Up to 90 minutes.
  • Tier 2 — Logical recovery · $150. Files deleted, or a partition corrupted, on a drive that's still physically sound. Up to 3 hours.
  • Tier 3 — Failing-drive imaging · $250. The drive is on its way out, so we take an image of it first and recover from the copy rather than stressing the original any further. Up to 6 hours.
  • Physical damage — referred out, not attempted. Clicking, grinding, or a drive that won't spin needs a cleanroom. We'll say so and point you to someone who has one, rather than making it worse.
Six checks on every recovery job
  • Source drive health assessed before any read attempt — SMART pulled first, because a failing drive gets one honest chance
  • Work performed on an image rather than the original wherever the drive allows it
  • Recovery scope agreed with you up front — what's realistically recoverable, and what isn't
  • Recovered files opened and spot-checked — readable, not just present
  • Delivered to the media you choose, and we tell you exactly where it went
  • Your original drive handled carefully and returned to you
Which tier applies comes from the drive, not from a guess on the phone. We assess it first, tell you the tier and the price, and that's the price — it doesn't move afterward. If the honest answer is that the data isn't recoverable without a cleanroom, you'll hear that before you've spent anything on the attempt.

Recovery is bench work. Imaging a failing drive can run for hours and it must not be rushed or interrupted, so we'd normally collect the machine rather than do it in your kitchen. Same price, and the drive gets the patient version.

Home Network Diagnosis
Slow, dropping or dead internet — added to a diagnostic, tune-up or repair visit
What's included
$35
Seven checks on every network diagnosis
  • Where the fault actually sits — inside your house, or upstream with your provider
  • Speeds measured at the router and again where the trouble is, rather than guessed
  • Cabling and connections traced end to end
  • Wi-Fi coverage and interference checked where you actually use it — not just next to the router
  • Router settings reviewed as far as they bear on the fault
  • DHCP and DNS behavior tested, on the network and on the machine
  • A plain-language answer you can act on — what's wrong, and what fixes it
Why this is added to another service rather than booked on its own. A network call carries the same driving and setup as a full repair, and often ends with an answer we can't sell you — the fault is upstream with your provider, or the fix is a new router. We'd rather attach it honestly to a visit than charge you a standalone rate for news you can't buy from us. If the network is the only thing wrong, call us anyway — we'll talk it through on the phone, for free, and tell you straight whether a visit is worth your money or whether it's one call to your provider. New router to set up? That's its own service, just below — and if this diagnosis is what tells you the router is the problem, the $35 comes off the setup. Bigger projects — extra access points, cable runs — are outside what we do, and we'll tell you exactly what you need so you can take it anywhere.
Home Router Setup
Your new router or mesh kit set up, updated and your devices reconnected — book it on its own
What's included
$60
Seven things on every router setup
  • Firmware updated first — a new router often ships with software that's already out of date
  • Modern Wi-Fi security switched on (WPA3, or a mixed mode where an older device needs it)
  • The admin password changed from the factory default — the one setting most home routers are left wide open on
  • Your Wi-Fi name and password set the way you want them
  • Your devices reconnected — computers, phones, TVs, printers
  • Puts smart devices like cameras, doorbells, plugs and bulbs on their own network, separate from your computers and phones, where your router can do it.
  • Your provider's box set to work alongside it where needed, so you're not running two networks that fight each other

A few things need to share a network to work, like casting from your phone to the TV, some printers and smart-home hubs. If moving one stops it working, we put it back and tell you.

One router, or one boxed mesh kit of up to three units, that you already own. Not bought one yet? Ask and we'll tell you what fits your home — or we'll pick one up at exactly what it costs, receipt shown. Your passwords are chosen with you and stay with you; we don't keep a copy. This one happens at your place, since there's nothing to collect. Extra access points and cable runs are outside what we do.
Pickup and Return
We collect the machine and bring it back when it's done — free for a limited time
How it works
Founding offer $25 FREE
Six things that happen on every pickup
  • We agree the price before we take it — the same flat rate as any other job, quoted on the phone
  • A signed record of exactly what we collected — the machine, the charger, anything else that comes with it
  • Your data is copied before anything is touched, as on every job, and that copy is kept encrypted
  • The work happens at a private bench, not a shop counter — nobody else's hands on it
  • You hear from us if the job turns out different from what we quoted, before we carry on
  • Free exterior clean — screen, keyboard and case wiped down before it comes home
When it happens, plainly. Call or text and we'll arrange a time to collect it — usually the next day or two, whenever we're next out your way. Most machines are back with you within one to three business days. That's what to expect rather than a guarantee, and if a job is going to run longer you'll hear that before we take it, not after. Need it faster than our next run? Say so and we'll tell you honestly whether we can.
Your data, copied before we touch anything
On every job, always — not a promotion. Want a copy you keep? Free up to 500GB; bring your own drive or we'll supply one at exact cost. Larger than that and it's quoted as a $90 transfer first.

Trip Charge
Covered by the Founding Customer Offer — you pay nothing to have us come out, nothing to have it collected, and nothing to book. After the offer it's one call-out fee whether we drive to you or collect the machine, it's the only thing due up front, and there is no separate booking deposit.
Founding offer $25 FREE

Every price here is the same whether we fix it at your place or take it with us — where the work happens doesn't change what it costs. Parts and media are always billed at our exact cost with no markup, and we'll show you the receipt. Prices are flat and quoted before any work begins, and every price on this page is plus Texas sales tax — so the number you hear, plus tax, is the number you pay. The price you're quoted when you book is the price you pay, plus tax. Every job carries our labor warranty at no charge — 10 days as standard, 90 days for founding customers — every device we take in gets a free exterior clean, and your data is copied before we touch anything, on every job, always. Cards and cash both work, payment is due once the work is done, and founding customers pay nothing to book.

Don't see your issue listed?

This list covers what we handle most, but it isn't everything. If your problem sounds close to something above, reach out anyway — we'll take a look and tell you honestly whether it's something we can fix. If it's outside what we do, we'll point you toward someone who can help.

Questions

Frequently Asked

The things people ask before booking their first visit.

What is the Founding Customer Offer?
We're new in San Antonio, and our first customers are the ones taking a chance on a new business. So for a limited time: free pickup and return — we collect the machine and bring it back — (or a free house call if you'd rather we came to you), nothing to pay when you book, and a 90-day warranty on our labor instead of our standard 10 days. It covers our first 25 jobs, whoever books them. The collection is normally $25, and it's the same single fee whichever direction the machine travels. Nothing to enter — it's applied automatically while the offer runs. Copying your data before we touch it isn't on that list, because it isn't a limited-time offer — we do that on every job, always.
Do you take a deposit to book?
No — we don't take booking deposits at all. While the Founding Customer Offer is running, nothing whatsoever is due up front: you book, we come out, and you pay at the end once you've seen the machine working.

Once the offer ends, the $25 trip charge is paid at booking — that's what holds your slot, and it's the only thing due up front. It isn't a deposit and it isn't a second fee on top of one; it's the call-out fee, the same way a plumber or an electrician charges for coming out, and it isn't credited against the bill. You get it back in full if the job turns out to be outside what we do, if the machine can't be fixed, if we cancel, or if you cancel at least two hours ahead.

One exception applies either way: if your job needs a part ordered in, we take a deposit for that part before buying it — billed at exactly what it costs us, receipt shown. That's the part, not a booking fee.

What does your warranty cover?
Every repair we do carries a labor warranty at no extra charge — 10 days as standard on every job, and 90 days for founding customers while that offer is running. The coverage itself is the same either way; founding customers just get a longer window.

What it covers: our labor and the service we performed. If the problem we were paid to fix comes back inside the window, we come back out and redo the work free — no second trip charge, no second labor charge.

What it doesn't cover:

  • Parts. A part that fails is a hardware failure, not a workmanship failure. Since we bill parts at exact cost with no markup, a replacement is billed at cost the same way — and the manufacturer's warranty on that part is yours to claim. Our labor to install the replacement is still covered inside the window.
  • New or unrelated problems. A different fault on the same machine is a new job at normal rates.
  • A fresh infection or new slowdown from continued use — new malware picked up after a cleanup, or new software slowing things down again.
  • Accidental or customer-caused damage, and hardware we already told you was failing at the time of the job.

We'd rather say this plainly up front than surprise you with it later. It's written the same way on your signed service agreement and on the work order you sign at the end of the visit.

My internet is slow — is that something you do?
Yes — we diagnose home networks, and we set up new routers. If your connection is slow, dropping out, or dead, we'll find where the fault actually is — the wiring, the router's configuration, interference, or your provider's line coming into the house. It's $35, added to a visit rather than booked on its own, so it comes alongside a diagnostic, a tune-up or a repair. There's a seven-point list of what we check on the rate card above.

If the network really is the only thing wrong, call us anyway. We'll talk it through on the phone at no charge and tell you straight whether a visit is worth your money — a good share of these turn out to be one call to your provider, and we'd rather say so than drive out and charge you to hear it.

Where the answer is a new router and we set it up for you, the $35 comes off the router setup. It isn't taken off other repairs: a network diagnosis is added to a visit rather than being the repair itself, the same way an install is. Router setup is $60 and can be booked on its own: one router or mesh kit you own, firmware updated, settings changed from the factory defaults, and your devices reconnected. What we don't take on is building a network — extra access points or cable runs.

Will your prices change?
One day, yes — we're new, and our prices start low while we earn our first reviews in San Antonio. We haven't set a date, and we won't invent a countdown to rush you. Whatever price you're quoted when you book is the price you pay, plus sales tax, even if ours change before the work is done.
Do you set up routers and Wi-Fi?
Yes — $60, and you can book it on its own. Bring us one router, or one boxed mesh kit of up to three units, that you already own, and we'll update its firmware, switch on modern security, change the admin password from the factory default, set your Wi-Fi name and password, and reconnect your devices. It happens at your place, since there's nothing to take away.

Haven't bought one yet? Ask and we'll tell you what suits your home, or buy it for you at exactly what it costs. Your passwords are chosen with you and we don't keep a copy. Bigger jobs — extra access points, running cable — are outside what we do.

How do I pay?
Payment for the work is due once the work is done and you've seen the machine working — never before. On a house call that's at the end of the visit; on a pickup it's when we hand it back. We take all major credit and debit cards through Square, and cash. You'll get an emailed receipt either way. Two things sit outside that: a job that needs a part ordered in takes a deposit for the part before we buy it, billed at exactly what it costs us with the receipt shown; and once the offer ends, the $25 call-out fee is paid at booking. Founding customers pay nothing up front at all.
Can I just book an SSD, RAM or hard drive install on its own?
An upgrade is added to another service rather than booked as a visit of its own — so it comes alongside a diagnostic, a tune-up, or a Windows reinstall. The $35 installation labor is the same either way.

The reason is honest arithmetic: a 40-minute upgrade involves the same driving, screening and setup as a two-hour job, so as a standalone trip it costs more to deliver than $35 covers. We'd rather bundle it than quietly raise the price to $60.

If you already know exactly which part you need, book it with a diagnostic: that's the $35 diagnostic plus $35 installation — $70 for the visit plus tax, with the part billed at exactly what it costs. The diagnostic confirms the part is the right fix before we fit it. Its $35 credit comes off a repair such as a tune-up or virus removal; an install is added to a visit rather than being the repair itself, so the two are charged separately. And most of the time the upgrade is what a diagnostic turns up anyway: a machine that feels slow usually wants an SSD. Moving your system onto the new drive is included in the $35.

How much does data recovery cost?
It depends on what's actually wrong with the drive, so we price it in three tiers rather than quoting you a vague number with a plus sign on it:
  • $90 — Transfer. The drive is healthy and the data just needs moving across.
  • $150 — Logical recovery. Files deleted or a partition corrupted, on a drive that's still physically sound.
  • $250 — Failing-drive imaging. The drive is dying, so we image it first and recover from that copy instead of stressing the original.

We assess the drive, tell you which tier it is and what it costs, and that's the price — it doesn't move once we've started. If it's clicking, grinding, or won't spin at all, it needs a cleanroom and we'll refer you to one rather than risk making it worse.

Why not just charge less than everyone else?
Because the cheapest repair in town is rarely the one you want in your house. Most of our rates sit under the San Antonio average — a typical shop is around $65/hr, and virus removal runs $70–125 — and where we're at the going rate, it's because the job genuinely takes the time. We price the work at what it's honestly worth so we're still here when you need us again. What we'd rather compete on is telling you the truth about your machine.
Do I have to bring my computer anywhere?
No, never. There's no store to visit — you have two options and both of them happen at your door. Either we come to you and fix it at your table, or we collect the machine and bring it back when it's done. Both are free for founding customers and both cover anywhere within 15 miles of San Antonio. Most jobs finish on the spot in one visit; the longer ones go better at the bench.
Can you just pick it up and bring it back?
Yes, and for some jobs we'd rather. A Windows reinstall is largely a progress bar, and imaging a failing drive can run for hours — there's no reason for you to sit beside either one. The price is identical either way; where the work happens doesn't change what it costs.

How it works: call or text, and we'll arrange a time to collect it — usually the next day or two, whenever we're next out your way. You get a signed record of exactly what we took, your data is copied before anything is touched, and the work happens at a private bench rather than a shop counter. It comes back cleaned inside and out, at no extra charge.

How long: most machines are back with you within one to three business days. That's what to expect rather than a promise — and if a job is going to run longer than that, you'll hear it before we take the machine, not after. If you need it back faster than our next run out your way, say so on the phone and we'll tell you straight whether we can do it.

What if you can't fix it?
You pay the diagnostic and nothing more. We'll tell you plainly what's wrong, whether it's worth repairing, and where to go if it's outside what we handle — board-level soldering work, for example, is something we refer out rather than attempt.
Will I lose my files?
Not if we can help it. On any job that touches storage — a Windows reinstall especially — we copy your data first and confirm it's readable before we change anything, free, on every job. That copy is our safety net for the repair: it's kept encrypted, held only while the job is open, then deleted with the date logged. It isn't a backup of record and it isn't a substitute for your own backup. If the drive itself is failing, or the machine is encrypted and you don't have the recovery key, we'll tell you before we start rather than after.
Do you mark up parts?
No. RAM, SSDs, fans, power supplies — all billed at exactly what they cost, and we'll show you the receipt if you want to see it. We make our money on the labor, not on the hardware.
How soon can you come out?
Usually within a day or two, and often the same day for straightforward jobs. Send the request form and we'll call or text to confirm a window that works for you.

Something not working?
