Who you're inviting in
Ron's Tech Repair is San Antonio's at-home tech help, from computers to Wi-Fi. We started it because too many people get handed a bill full of jargon and no explanation, or get talked into an upgrade they never needed.
So we do it the other way round: we tell you in plain language what's actually wrong, quote it straight before anything is touched, and fix it at your kitchen table — or collect it, fix it at our bench, and bring it back.
The part we like most is the explaining. If you want to know what we're doing and why, ask — we'll show you on the screen. Most people end a visit knowing a little more about their own machine than they did at the start, and that's the point.
- TransparencyYou see the diagnosis before anything gets touched. No surprise charges.
- Straightforward pricingWhat's quoted is what's paid, plus sales tax. Parts billed at exact cost, never marked up.
- Explained, not hiddenAsk what we're doing and we'll tell you. You own the machine; you should understand it.
- Honest about scopeIf a job is outside what we do, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
- Your data is copied firstBefore any drive work, on every job, free. A safety net for the repair, not a backup of record.
- Your machine, treated with careIf we take it with us you get a signed record of exactly what we collected, and it's worked on at a private bench — not stacked behind a shop counter.
Where the work happens
The bench, the tools, and a real job start to finish.

Photographed with the customer's permission. We never put a customer's machine, screen or files online without asking first.
What a visit actually looks like
One machine at a time, and no jargon unless you ask for it.
We look before we quote
The fault gets reproduced in front of us wherever that's possible. A diagnosis we can show you on the screen is worth more than one you have to take on faith.
Your data gets copied first
Before anything that touches a drive. Free, every job. If a copy isn't possible — an encrypted machine with no recovery key, or a drive already failing — you hear that before we start, not after.
You get the machine and the reasons
What was wrong, what we did, and what to watch for. Written on the work order, not just said at the door.
